Matthew Cambó, an associate attorney with Leinoff & Lemos, P.A., was recently recognized for the first time by Best Lawyers in America for his work in Family Law. This is a particularly impressive honor, considering recognition by Best Lawyers is based primarily on peer review.
Best Lawyers annually captures the leading lawyers’ overall consensus regarding their colleagues who are located in the same geographical region.
To be recognized for the Best Lawyers Award, Matthew Cambó was selected from a range of nominations that went through a rigorous process. First, lawyers are nominated by other colleagues. Then, the nominations go through a peer-review process where the organization gains feedback on the nominee’s work. The peer-review process ensures that the actual best lawyers are being nominated for the award and being recognized as well.
Results are then calculated while the feedback is being reviewed. Finally, before a final decision is made on those who will be recognized, the nominees are confirmed to be in good standing with their local bar associations.
“I am very pleased by the nomination. It’s an honor to be recognized by my colleagues and such a prestigious publication for providing great counsel to our clients at Leinoff & Lemos, P.A.,” said Matthew.
Working for Leinoff & Lemos, P.A, Cambó devotes all of his time to litigation practice in family law. He covers cases such as divorce, relocation, alimony and child support, business valuations, child custody, paternity disputes, business valuations, and other family law and marital matters.
Before coming to Leinoff & Lemos, P.A., he clerked for the felony division of the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office. While there, he assisted in the office’s prosecution of defendants with a wide variety of charges, including vehicular homicide, attempted murder, and armed robbery.
